4 kms east of Panajachel is the small and colorful village of Santa Catarina, of Cackchiquel origin, which can be reached by a dirt road or by water.
Here you can see through the streets the typical Guatemalan costume. Women are expert weavers to wear one of the most colorful and typical clothes of the plateau.
