Monte Verde is the highest point on the island of Sao Vicente, Cape Verde, with 750 meters of altitude, about 8 km east of the city of Mindelo, capital of the island.
It is a must for visitors to the island of São Vicente.
The view of the top of Monte Verde is spectacular, and you can see the entire island from Baía das Gatas and Praia Grande to the city of Mindelo and its port. In the background is also the majestic silhouette of the neighboring island of Santo Antão, as well as the furthest from Santa Luzia and São Nicolau.
