Characterized by its large size, it is perhaps the largest of its kind in Portugal, and is in very good condition.
The Anta da Aldeia da Mata or Anta do Tapadão is a megalithic monument more than five thousand years old located two kilometers from Aldeia da Mata, in the county of Crato.
It has been classified as a National Monument by the IPPAR since 1910.
