The Almhüttendorf Turracher Höhe with its villages Almdorf Turrach and Almdorf Sonnleitn is located on the Turracher Höhe Mountain Pass, at 1,711 metres above sea level. It consists of 30 huts and a restaurant amid Europe's largest Swiss stone pine forest.
The cosy Alpine-style huts of the Almdorf Turrach feature a fully equipped kitchen, a dining corner, a living room with a wood-burning oven and6 or 7 bedrooms. They also have a terrace or a balcony with mountain views.
The slopes can be reached via a ski path, and guests also can use the free shuttle service providing connection to the ski schools and ski lifts and back again. In summer, the surrounding area is ideal for hiking and mountain biking, and fishing is also possible.
Typical Carinthian and Styrian specialities can be enjoyed in the restaurant on site. On request, fresh bread rolls can be delivered to the huts every morning.
At a surcharge, guests can use a sauna, a hot tub and an infrared cabin, and a washing machine and a dryer are available about 80 metres from the properties.
